Mr Chairman, benevolent sponsors, hard-working media partners ,industry players, artiste managers, artiste,invited guests, beautiful ladies and gentlemen, all protocol dully observed, I cheerily welcome you all to today's official launch of the HMB-UEMA 2021. Today, we would eventually pave the way for the official blastoff of the Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards 2021. It is my pleasure to welcome you all once again. We appreciate your time this particular afternoon.
Ladies and gentlemen, we at One Love Entertainment are so passionate about entertainment especially when it comes to our resident region, the Upper East region. We have also prioritised the smiles on the faces of the people in the region, be it young or old through entertainment. Our track record of events we've successfully planned and carried out is enviable.
Ladies and gentlemen, Happy Man Bitters Upper East Music Awards is a prestigious Music Award scheme organised by One Love Entertainment and powered by Happy Man Bitters. HMB-UEMA was birthed in August 2019. The awards scheme has seen to the realisation of dreams of musicians, and every one playing a prominent role in the Upper East Region and presenting them with opportunities to appreciate their talents and keep up the good works, also, as an organization, we strongly believe awards schemes are one sure way to encourage hard work and inculcate the competitive spirit among the industry players. This goes without saying that the award ceremony is amongst our most treasured occasions in the entertainment industry as it provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the preceding year, award deserving winners, share memories and plan the next year and others.
Ladies and gentlemen, the theme for this years HMB-UEMA is (OUR MUSIC LIVES BY US FOR US )

The year under review for HMB-UEMA 2021 is from 1st October 2020 to 30th September 2021.
Nominations will be opened from today 11th September 2021 till 11th October 2021 when nominations will be closed
This year filling in for the nominations process will be online on our official website www.uppereastmusicawards.org
Note that filling in doesn’t guarantee nominations, so artiste should read the category definition before filling. therefore qualified nominees will be announced on all our social media handles on the last week of October 2021
Voting will commence on 1st November 2021 till 2nd December 2021 exactly at 11:59 pm
The main event will be held on Friday 3rd December 2021 at this same venue.
Ladies and gentlemen,before I move to what is involved this year I will like to speak about last years artiste of the year and new act of the years projects .
Firstly concerning artiste of year rockcity , what was left was a collaboration with an A list artist ,which we have been working hand in hand all this while to get the best for them , I must say they showed a high level of professionalism while we both worked to execute this project , we apologize for the delay but it wasn’t entirely the fault of rockcity or we the organizers but the desire to bring out the best of production for the people of upper east . Ladies and gentlemen I can assure you our reigning HMB-UEMA artiste of the year rockcity is in the kitchen cooking something with an A list artiste which will soon be out.
Secondly, the new act of the year was supposed to have a mastered song and a video, we can confirm the song has been with the management of the new act of the year since February 2021 , however due to miscommunication between both parties there has been a delay of the video which was promised . However on behalf of one love entertainment organizers of this prestigious awards . I take full responsibility of what caused the delay and i apologize to the label , artiste and their fans . I think we at one love entertainment could have done better concerning this issue. So we have gotten in touch with the management to inform them we are ready for the video shoot and ready to work hand in hand to execute it .
Ladies and gentlemen, permit me to acknowledge the contribution of our head sponsors, Charger Limited who are producers of Happy Man bitters ，happy man ginger liqueur, charger transport and happy man beverages also known as plus one products which are in five different flavors ,that is plus one mango drink , plus one apple juice , plus one energy drink , plus one tamarind drink and plus one cola drink . they have been supportive since its inception. Dr Emmanuel Bortey Borketey has been of great help and is committed to this course. We couldn't have gotten this far without him.
Ladies and gentlemen, the CEO of our head sponsors Dr Emmanuel bortey borketey has pledge an amount of 20,000 Ghana cedis for this years artist of the year # 20k
And out of the 20k the artiste is supposed to execute a visible project.
This is confirmed from our head sponsors so far and we are hoping towards the main event in December we will be supported more .

Another category gets a 32 inches flat screen
Another category gets a mastered track by azkonnabeatz and a music video
So far prior to the launch these are the incentives confirmed , other letters are yet to be confirmed and would be communicated on all our social media handles .
Ladies and gentlemen, One Love Entertainment is run by human beings and for that matter, we make mistakes. We can not categorical declare the previous awards ceremony as 100% successful, we have erred in one way or the other but have worked hard to correct those mistakes to prevent them from reoccurring.
Ladies and gentlemen, we can assure you that we are building a board and academy with top integrity and selflessness to ensure deserving nominees win ..
