Production : Learn a Lil bit of production to help you discover your sound pretty fast A fair idea of Production will help you bring out the skeleton of the sound or craft you hear or see from the inner you , you will be able to tell your producer to (Know how to take the vocals, brighten a bass line to ur song , you can detect and correct when your rap contains more reverb, you can tell when a particular vocal of your song needs a backing and of which type of Voice is needed, you can tell when your song not properly mixed or mastered) to achieving a good and standard record without stressing producers too much coz "2 good heads are better" help yourself for the producers to help you with this I hope the engineers and producers will understand lol don't go and say my chorus sound some way ooh , they ask which way and you are there.
Branding & Packaging : We the Artist must understand that "Branding and packaging" is a art of creating an imaginary image in the minds of our fans and the general public about your personality and music which include (Your way of dressing, the manner which you speak ,your sociability and how you handle issues be it good or bad) it does not involve, Not greeting people, or saying "Hi" when you have to , it doesn't mean Don't post ,share or Applaud someone for a good job done , hiding yourself or not responding to messages, neither does it involve you packing your fans out of events grounds after performing to show you're important we can also attend fellow acts shows with our friends even if we not performing buy tickets or pay and enter to have fun like a normal person and it will send a signal to the artist and he's management that your love and support for them is real and they may reciprocate but if they don't consider it a normal hang out with your guys nothing spoil its all part of branding and packaging
Publicity and Promotion : Is one part of the pillars of the industry which serves as a barrier for entertainers most especially artist without good teams, labels or investors due to high budgets and cost of showing you to the world but I think this is where the DJs , presenters, bloggers and fans will have to support every upper East artist by sharing their music with friends and other djs ,by recommending and introducing them to potential investor, by giving them more platforms to showcase themselves to newer audience (Not Free shows) E.g Big Up @Lexis and @Coldsweat Daraan helped in this aspect years ago through radio rap battles on #Gurun3 Radio then #Style FM and A1 radio which gave birth to a lot of acts in the region today myself included, also by endorsing and connecting them to bigger cables we may tap into greater energies to move faster and stronger if not we have to keep managing with our small Tools.
Marketing : is a crucial aspect of the game that different ways works for different people depending on how its handled , sometimes the attempt to market one may kill or bring Dim Light to another's product or shine so we must understand its politics a survival of the fittest thing, it will help you to keep emotions out of it and avoid Chest pains Lol. though we aware some do these things out of dislike ness for certain individuals but it doesn't still change the fact that not everyone will like you and more over man self no be God or Lucifer so lets do more live , record projects , pull surprise appearance in shows , lace with other entertainers like comedy kit makers , footballers , actors and actresses and more to do more works , find a way to always be on the map like Madagascar but stay on your lane with less trouble this will go a long way to foster peace and co-existence which will breed a more collaborations to share fans from far and wide for every act to cash out.
Management : we the artist need to study and know the difference between a #Support system and #Management, most of us turn family ,friends and fans to managers or Management without any interest , due process and professional ideas which is not good am not saying is not good for a friend or fan to become your manager if he or she is capable and knowledgeable of the industrial politics, with resources or investors you guys are good to go but there's always a thin line in because in most cases the person likes you and just wanna help in one or two things just to show love we always relax or reduce the fire we were moving with thinking we now have someone who can create magic even if its about money, we need know these people equally have financial issues , bills and families to take care of. we must be more professional to sit on a round table with these people appreciate their support and try to artistically convince them of how beneficial it will be for you both if he/she can make it more of a investment professionally (With written Contracts) and with God by your side they may agree with a clear mind of what they're going into and with you too knowing your privileges, responsibilities and rights to avoid pointing fingers, creating eternal enemies and being tagged ungrateful , making so many even afraid to help talk less of investing. So in simple sense we must be more professional with management, manager, investor and artist with contracts
